Censys Exposure Management ServiceNow Integration
You can use the ServiceNow integration to create tickets directly from the Censys Exposure Management app. Tickets in your ServiceNow can reduce your team’s time to remediation.
After you set up ServiceNow, you are ready to create tickets for your security team.
After the ticket is created, it appears in a card on the Details page below the Overview.
Create a Ticket
On every Inventory details page, a Create ServiceNow Ticket button appears in the upper right.
- Click Create ServiceNow Ticket. From the list, select the information about the asset to you want to include in the ticket. Click Next.
- On the next page, select the ServiceNow user who is reporting the ticket from the Caller list. Give the ticket a title in the Short Description field and verify that the Censys-supplied information in the Description fits your needs.
- Click Create Issue. You see details about the created ticket, including its state, and the short description.
To see the ticket in ServiceNow, click the linked ticket ID.
To see a list of all ServiceNow issues related to your attack surface, navigate to Tickets from the top navigation. From this page, you can navigate to the ticket itself in ServiceNow, view the linked asset in Exposure Management, and remove tickets.
The table is sorted by the ServiceNow Ticket ID column. You can sort by other columns:
Created At: The date that the ticket was created on.
Status: The status of the ticket, indicating whether or not it is being worked on or is completed.
Summary: The short description of the ticket.
Linked Assets: The inventory the ticket was created for. Click this link to go to its details page.
Assignee: This column reflects functionality of other ticketing integrations.
Ticketing System: The ticketing application that the ticket can be found in.
Clean up your list of finished tickets by removing them from Exposure Management. Removing a ticket in Exposure Management does not remove it from your ServiceNow instance.
- Select the ticket to remove and click Remove. Click OK.
